Thank you! This blog, along with a short post by Jeff a while back, have me interested in exploring Minaria again, whether as an RPG setting or just playing the original game.
You'd have to hunt down a copy of Divine Right to be able to read the board. Honestly, i just make them up - the numeral on a locale indicates to me the relative power and significance of that place (whether due to population, excellent defenses or sorcery). The skulls are locations of battlefields, but they could also be haunted wastelands ala "the dead marshes" in Middle Earth.
